“FIGHT NIGHT Liepāja: Summer Edition 2” returns on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at 18:00 in the open‑air Concert Garden “Pūt, vējiņi!”. To up the stakes of this event, the top performers will earn a spot on “FIGHT NIGHT Liepāja 6” on April 25th, 2026, at the Liepāja Olympic Center arena.
Local boxing star Francis Rozentāls will headline the event. Rozentāls is one of Latvia’s hottest boxing talents—a multiple-time national champion and a medalist in European tournaments. He holds an undefeated professional record of 9–0.
In fact, Rozentāls’ last time in Liepāja ended the same way he now intends to end this one: at a Fight Night show this April, he scored a first-round KO over Lithuania’s Robertas Zaburas. That bout was scheduled for six rounds in the cruiserweight division. Rozentāls became Latvia’s national champion at first heavyweight (cruiserweight) earlier in March.
Originally, Rozentāls was supposed to face another Lithuanian contender, Modestas Juodpusis, at Summer Edition 2. However, a late injury to Juodpusis forced a change of plans, and stepping in as a replacement is Georgia’s Giorgi Tevdorashvili — a 38-year-old veteran who brings a wealth of experience from nearly 60 professional bouts.
Tevdorashvili’s record is 10–33–4 and may seem modest, but he has shared the ring with former world champions. Over his long career, the Georgian has gone rounds with the likes of Ilunga Makabu and Murat Gassiev. Tevdorashvili is a former national titleholder in Georgia and once challenged top European contenders, even taking on future cruiserweight world champion Makabu in 2018. He’s also fought locals Ralfs Vilcāns and Ričards Bolotņiks.
Another highlight of the night: Latvia’s Ričards Hauberts and Lithuania’s Daigar Kasporovičius are set to meet in a rematch. These two first met in January 2024 during a FREON: Ghetto Fight tournament in Riga, where Kasporovičius managed to edge out Hauberts via decision.
Hauberts has already made a name by winning a Ghetto Fight championship and also triumphing at the first “BAZARA 0 Fight Club” show in 2024. He trains with the “BAZARA 0 Fight Club” team. Daigar Kasporovičius is a three-time Lithuanian champion in grappling, who also proved his prowess on the world stage by earning 5th place at an amateur MMA World Championship in Abu Dhabi.
Nikijs Kurpnieks vs. Hasanjon Otajonov will be another fight to see. Representing the local boxing scene, Nikijs Kurpnieks comes in with impeccable credentials — he is a four-time Latvian boxing champion, and has notched wins against medalists from European and World Championship competitions. Kurpnieks has amassed an impressive amateur record, with over 50 fights under his belt. He was even named the “Most Technical Boxer” at the Liepāja Open Championship this year.
Hasanjon Otajonov reportedly competed in around 100 kickboxing matches and about 15 amateur boxing fights. Training under the “BAZARA 0 Fight Club” banner, he even delivered a statement win in that promotion’s first event, scoring a KO victory. Otajonov is making his official professional boxing debut at “FIGHT NIGHT Liepāja: Summer Edition 2”.The card’s late switch sees Mareks Krauklis — 12 wins from 15 amateur-pro hybrid starts — now welcoming Lithuanian Lovaris Bagdonavičius of Warriors Team Vilnius. Bagdonavičius, 18, has already medalled at the 2024 Open Lithuanian MMA Championship and was listed at 61–64 kg in Baltic federation rosters earlier this year.
