Vaidas Jagelavičius trains out of the Dainralfas gym in Kaunas and has claimed national titles in Lithuania in both MMA and K-1 kickboxing. In 2023, he won an open amateur MMA championship (70 kg division) at the Žalgirio Taurė (“Žalgiris Cup”) tournament.
Standing 179 cm tall with a 180 cm reach, Jagelavičius has been touted as “the new KOK prospect” by the King of Kings promotion. He earned that reputation with a finish of Latvian fighter Vjačeslavs Tevinš. In professional MMA competition, Jagelavičius is 2–0, with both wins by stoppage. He most recently extended his unbeaten streak by defeating one of the Baltics’ top up-and-comers, Emilis Panceris, in an MMA Bushido cage fight in Vilnius.
Aleksandrs Čerkesovs will enjoy the home crowd advantage in Riga; he has spent years training alongside elite Baltic fighters under coach Igors Tkačenko. He is a multiple-time Latvian and Baltic champion in K-1 kickboxing, whose real breakthrough came in 2021 when he captured a WAK-1F Pro-Am World Championship belt in K-1: he went five rounds with Bodhin Winter in Riga and won by decision, calling it one of the toughest and most valuable victories of his career. He followed that by earning a bronze medal at the 2023 WAKO Amateur World Kickboxing Championships in Portugal, securing a world podium spot for Latvia.
Earlier in his career, Čerkesovs also won gold at the Baltic Muay Thai Open in 2019 (75 kg division), defeating both Estonian and Lithuanian opponents to take the tournament title. That same year, he reached the semifinals of the IFMA European Muay Thai Championships, coming away with a bronze medal for Latvia.
More recently, he has transitioned into the professional circuit with success: in late 2024 Čerkesovs won a four-man professional tournament at the Yakuza Fight event in Estonia, marking an important milestone in his pro career. He even challenged for the WKN Baltic professional kickboxing title last season, narrowly dropping a decision.
Now returning to the BAZARA 0 ring — yes, he fought at “BAZARA 0 Fight Club II”, where he won by TKO!— Čerkesovs will be seeking another victory. He enters this contest with a wealth of experience and will be looking to defend home turf against Jagelavičius.
