Dans Bukovskis Meets Brazilian MMA Fighter Lucas Teijeira at “BAZARA 0 Fight Club IV”

Dans Bukovskis Meets Brazilian MMA Fighter Lucas Teijeira at “BAZARA 0 Fight Club IV”

“BAZARA 0 Fight Club IV” has added another international matchup to its September 12th event at Xiaomi Arena in Riga: Latvia’s Dans Bukovskis will face Brazilian fighter Lucas “Narigomedov” Teijeira!

Bukovskis has already become familiar to the organization’s audience through repeated BAZARA 0 appearances, but Teijeira is no easy feat; he comes from a Brazilian MMA background, listed as a Tata Fight Team athlete, a welterweight, and a fighter whose record has already passed through major Brazilian platforms including Jungle Fight.

Dans Bukovskis’ path into this fight has been busy, uneven, and unusually varied. His recent career has moved between professional MMA, amateur MMA, bare-knuckle boxing, cage-boxing and BAZARA 0’s hybrid formats. What does that tell us? Well, perhaps that Bukovskis has been accepting fights across rulesets at a fast pace, and built his identity as a Latvian fighter willing to meet opponents in formats where comfort is rarely guaranteed.

Dans went through a tough early professional schedule: a submission loss to Ola Jacobsson at AFN 7, a decision win over Komar Dara at Hamara MMA Vol. 6, a TKO loss to Yasir Uyar at MMA Raju 17, and a decision loss to Leevi Heino at Hamara MMA Vol. 7.

His first appearance with BAZARA 0 ended in a draw. However, he made a successful return against Vladyslav Hud, stopping him by first-round TKO at “BAZARA 0 Fight Club II”, which then propelled him into another BAZARA 0 victory, this time against Yaroslav Kuzoma. Bukovskis was already one of Latvia’s emerging fighters to watch; he had been introduced to local fans as a recurring KSPROFL champion.

In August of 2025, Bukovskis entered the “Lucky Punch IRL Fight Stream”, a 16-man tournament held in Lithuania with one-minute fights, Latvian and Lithuanian participants, a €5,000 grand prize, and a €500 bonus for every knockout. Bukovskis beat Kęstutis Kavaliauskas in the opening round, advanced past Zahar Kotsiur in a close quarter-final decided by public vote, and later defeated Aleksandrs Dmitrijevs in the final to win the €5,000 prize.

Lucas Teijeira is affiliated with Tata Fight Team (also known as TFT; a Rio de Janeiro team whose listed roster has included high-level Brazilian names) and competes at welterweight. His professional debut was a first-round arm-triangle choke victory over Vagner Oliveira at DC Pro MMA 5, then a first-round TKO victory over Victor Gustavo at Falcon MMA 4 — and then his Jungle Fight debut in February of just this year. Jungle Fight is one of Brazil’s most notable MMA platforms!

Teijeira began training at 14 years old and has completed a camp at Renzo Gracie Academy in New York, where he says he trained around figures such as Renzo Gracie, Georges St-Pierre, Gordon Ryan and Robson Gracie. He also completed a three-month camp in the Netherlands with multiple-time kickboxing world champion Nieky Holzken, and is the first Brazilian fighter to train at Holzken’s academy in that capacity.

He has trained multiple times with the Brazilian Greco-Roman national team, has been part of the Rio de Janeiro boxing team, has competed at two BJJ World Championships in the United States, is a champion of Rio de Janeiro in freestyle boxing and wrestling, and a member of a Rio boxing team connected to Olympic medalists!

There is also a direct BAZARA 0 connection for Teijeira: Joilton “Brazilian Sub-Zero” Lutterbach! According to Teijeira, Lutterbach is his brother, one of the fighters he most values and admires, and a major influence on how he thinks about building a real fighter’s career. Lutterbach is also a part of “BAZARA 0 Fight Club IV”, with a confirmed matchup against Francis Rozentāls after defeating Ričards “The Lion” Bolotņiks at “BAZARA 0 Fight Club III”.
