At 35 years old, Ričards Bolotņiks has experienced a remarkable boxing journey. He went 3–3–1 in his first seven fights after a debut KO win, losing in Germany, England, and France. He briefly experimented at cruiserweight from 2016 to 2018, winning six straight before setbacks to Micki Nielsen and Thabiso Mchunu finally convinced him to return to light-heavyweight. That decision changed everything.

In December of 2019, Bolotņiks entered MTK Global’s Golden Contract tournament as a wild card replacement; he was an outsider with a modest 10–3–1 record who faced an unbeaten British prospect, Steven Ward, in the quarter-finals. Bolotņiks dropped Ward three times in the opening round, scoring a first-round KO that earned him a £5,000 bonus.

He followed this breakthrough by defeating a former British champion Hosea Burton via decision in Riga, scoring two standing counts in the ninth round. In the December 2nd, in the 2020 final, Bolotņiks also won against Germany’s Serge Michel, the “Bavarian Sniper” and 2016 Olympian, scoring knockdowns in rounds five and ten before Michel’s corner threw in the towel with ten seconds remaining. The victory secured him the WBO European light-heavyweight title and a multi-fight promotional contract.

Bolotņiks defended that European title twice before stepping up to face Joshua Buatsi in 2021, at Matchroom Fight Camp in a WBA International eliminator. Though he lost in the 11th round, Bolotņiks gave Buatsi the toughest fight of his career to that point. Two years later, he faced the former WBC light-heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk on the Canelo Alvarez-John Ryder undercard in Mexico, where a left hook ended the fight at 1:53.

Bolotņiks headlined “BAZARA 0 Fight Club II” on May 8th, 2025, in a main event rematch with Serge Michel. Five years after their Golden Contract final, Bolotņiks secured a unanimous decision victory over three rounds.

Meeting Bolotņiks is Joilton Lutterbach, a 32-year-old triple black belt (BJJ, Judo, Luta Livre) who became a five-time kickboxing world champion while accumulating a 41–11 MMA record across 15+ organizations on five continents.

Lutterbach’s resume is genuinely impressive: Shooto Brazil, The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 (2014/2015), FEN Lightweight Champion in Poland (2016–2017), Cage Warriors in England, KSW, M-1 Global, ACB, RCC in Russia, and championships in Argentina and across Europe. He competed for X-Force MMA, Misiones Fighting Championship, and multiple Brazilian regional promotions. Lutterbach holds titles from the World Kickboxing and Karate Union and competed as a two-promotion K-1 champion

From 2022–2023, Lutterbach went 3–0 in BRAVE CF with three finishes, all in the first round. He knocked out Marcel Grabinski in a rematch, won against Mihail Kotruţă for the interim super lightweight title despite missing weight, and decisioned Andreas Gustafsson.

But not every chapter of his story was triumphant. Lutterbach’s 2021 PFL season at lightweight ended 0–2, though both losses came via close split decisions; one with Raush Manfio, who went on to win the PFL Lightweight Championship that year, then lost another split to Clay Collard after weighing in at 159.4 pounds (over three pounds above the lightweight limit).

The highest-level test came against the future UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis at KSW 50 in London, 2019. Fighting at middleweight, Lutterbach was stopped via second-round TKO. He signed with Oktagon MMA in January of 2025.
