Bohdan Myronets, the Ukrainian heavyweight based in Latvia, secured the biggest victory of his career by winning the WBC Frankophone Champion title in Hamburg.
In an intense 10-round battle, Myronets faced the previously undefeated Cuban contender José Larduet. The fight, part of the World Boxing Council’s 62nd convention, saw Myronets display impressive skill, overcoming Larduet’s stamina and coming out on top with a split decision win (96–94, 97–93, 97–93). Bogdan’s victory elevated him to 54th place in the global heavyweight rankings.
