UFC 313 is here.
Alex Pereira makes his return in a much anticipated matchup against Magomed Ankalaev. This is the best of the best at light heavyweight and it should deliver regardless of outcome.
The co-main could’ve been better, but Justin Gaethje accepted a rematch against the returning Rafael Fiziev after Dan Hooker pulled out.
While the rest of the card could be criticized for piggy-backing the main event, there are fun fights across the board. Here’s a look at the UFC 313 main card and we’ll be posting some best bets to consider later this week, so be sure to check back here in a few days.
Main Card Breakdown:
King Green vs. Mauricio Ruffy
King Green continues to get the big fights in the UFC as he welcomes Mauricio Ruffy to the next level. Green hasn’t been the most consistent fighter, but he lives by big highs and terrible lows. Last year, he destroyed Jim Miller, but put up an absolute dud against Paddy Pimblett, getting submitted early in the first round.
Ruffy is the real deal. He has powerful strikes, good volume, and solid versatility. We’ve seen him land some special stuff on the feet and Green will welcome the back and forth. Ruffy has to be the pick here, but if it lasts three rounds, a surprising Green decision wouldn’t be a total shock.
Amanda Lemos vs. Iasmin Lucindo
Amanda Lemos was a late bloomer in the UFC but made the most of her career. Now, she gets an up and comer in Iasmine Lucindo who looks like the real deal. The problem with Lemos is that her durability has been an issue and she fades late in fights. While this is only three rounds, Lucindo is going to put the pressure on. It will be hard to go against Lucindo in this one.
Jalin Turner vs. Ignacio Bahamondes
Two strikers who use their length well will go head-to-head in what promises to be a war. Ignacio Bahamondes is durable, which could be the difference maker against Jalin Turner. Is there a grappling advantage? Given Turner’s UFC resume, he should get the edge in grappling, but this fight will likely stay on the feet. If this lasts three rounds, easy contender for fight of the night.
Justin Gaethje vs. Rafael Fiziev
Is Justin Gaethje on his way out? Judging by the betting line, it looks like it. He’s currently the underdog in his short notice rematch with Rafael Fiziev. While Gaethje is returning from one of the worst knockouts in UFC history, Fiziev is coming off a brutal knee injury that kept him sidelined for a long time. Both guys need a win in a big way.
Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev
Alex Pereira defends the UFC light heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev in a highly-anticipated fight. In a striker versus grappler showdown, Pereira will want to avoid the ground and land big on the feet. Ankalaev will try to fight inside the pocket, work the clinch, and avoid the distance striking battle. If Pereira can’t finish the fight, seeing how the later rounds play out will be interesting. It seems like Pereira is on a different level right now and the striking is hard to deal with.
UFC 313 has plenty of exciting fights with several fighters looking to take their careers to the next level. Headlined by Alex Pereira defending his title, the rest of the card can live up to the hype. Catch all the fights for UFC 313 this Saturday.

UFC 313 BEST BETS TO CONSIDER
Alex Pereira
1.909

1.909
Magomed Ankalaev
Alex Pereira To Win @ 1.909
This is a number play. Alex Pereira was a bigger underdog but the betting line has evened out. Magomed Ankalaev is praised for his technical striking and grappling upside in this fight. How good will the wrestling gameplan be? Ankalaev said he wants to keep it standing, but what happens if Pereira dominates early? Pereira has the finishing upside, the leg kicks to keep Ankalaev at bay, and improved defense to avoid the ground. Ankalaev is an incredible fighter, and has all the tools to beat Pereira, but it’s hard to see him win this without a late finish or grinding out three rounds.
Justin Gaethje To Win @ 2.36 (0.5 Units)
Justin Gaethje
2.36

1.62
Rafael Fiziev
Taking Justin Gaethje this weekend is more of a number value than anything else. Some will argue that Gaethje lost the first fight to Rafael Fiziev. Both guys are solid strikers, but Fiziev might have the technical edge. He doesn’t finish as much as you’d think, but he throws with intent and can attack all three levels. With Gaethje, you know he will fight for your money. At this point, you’re betting on him to avoid the big time finish, make the fight competitive, and hopefully find ways to take advantage of a rusty Fiziev after a long layoff. Gaethje has solid leg kicks and Fiziev is coming off major leg rehabilitation. While Gaethje could have his best years behind him, there’s enough meat on the bone to give the superstar a chance at UFC 313.
Ignacio Bahamondes to Win @ 1.80
Ignacio Bahamoneds
1.80

2.10
Jalin Turner
Jalin Turner continues to struggle with prolonged fights. Normally a great starter, he performs well in the first round. After that, he tends to fade and make questionable decisions. He’s 2-3 in his last five and all his two losses were against fighters with good cardio. Turner fights with length, power, and changing levels, but Ignacio Bahamondes will be ready to counter anything Turner throws. The biggest reason for this bet is Bahamondes rolling with strong cardio and could take over the fight after the first round. If you can wait for a live bet, getting on Bahamondes after the first round could get you a much bigger number.
Ozzy Diaz to Win @ 2.65
Djorden Santos
1.54

2.65
Ozzy Diaz
Ozzy Diaz has far more experience than Djorden Santos. He’s a big time finisher, won the LFA title before losing to Joe Pyfer in Dana White’s Contender Series, and lost his UFC debut to Mingyang Zhang. Santos just won his DWCS fight last September and is making his debut at UFC 313. For this price, you’re getting the better finisher with more experience who will certainly make this a competitive fight. Diaz is one of the more popular bets on the board this weekend.
Fight Doesn’t go the Distance Parlay:
Morono-Leal, Blaydes-Kuniev @ 2.47
For the last bet to consider this weekend at UFC 313, Morono and Leal are going to bang and Leal will be hungry after he was robbed last time out. Morono has been known to throw caution to the wind, and this is a good spot to see both fighters go for the finish.
Blaydes only loses to big punchers with solid boxing. If Kuniev comes in after a long layoff with solid power and good boxing, he will make this competitive and could land a knockout blow. On the flip side, Blaydes, at his best, can use his wrestling to get the fight to the ground and usually find a ground and pound finish. Blaydes has also improved on the feet and has found a finish with his boxing as well in the past.
