Vadims Skrebelis from Riga, Latvia, has rapidly ascended the ranks of the Baltic combat sports scene. At 21, he holds a background encompassing boxing, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Training out of “Gracie Barra Brasa”, an academy in Riga, Skrebelis has honed his skills under the tutelage of esteemed coaches.

His dedication culminated in clinching the title of Latvian MMA Champion in 2022. Further proving his versatility, Skrebelis secured victory at the AJP Tour Latvia National Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2023, competing as a white belt in the Men’s Amateur White NO GI 23-24 division.

In the amateur MMA circuit, Skrebelis has notably marked an unanimous decision win over Gabriels Beitiņš at “FREON: Milžu Cīņas 10” on November 11th, 2023, in Tukums, Latvia. He also fought at the “KSPROFL 2” show.

“At ‘KSPROFL 2’ I fought an opponent from Ukraine in the 74 kilogram division. The hardest part of this fight was making weight — I had to cut 14 kilograms to hit the target weight. I won the fight in the second round, catching my opponent in a ‘Ninja Choke’ submission,” Skrebelis tells SlotsFighter.

Standing across from Skrebelis on May 8th will be Aleksandr Krasnov — an opponent with deep roots in the UK fight circuit. Since 2019, Krasnov has fought across numerous British cities, including Peterborough, Derby, Lincoln, Sheffield, Manchester, and Dewsbury.

“I consider my debut amateur fight the most significant — I won by knockout in just around 10 seconds,” Krasnov shared with SlotsFighter. “Another highlight was my bout for the English title at the semi-professional level. That was a defining moment. But truth be told, every fight I’ve had matters to me.”

Krasnov holds a collection of medals, trophies, and accolades from across his career. Among them is the ISKA Semi-Pro English Title in kickboxing within the International Sport Kickboxing Association, where he has been active throughout 2024. He’s also participated in UWCB MMA charity tournaments, earning victories in bouts where proceeds supported blood cancer patients.

His preparation for “BAZARA 0 Fight Club II” has begun in Peterborough, where he trains across several gyms, including Immortal 365, Judo MMA, and JD Gym for strength and cardio work. Currently, he is planning a relocation to Leeds, with the remainder of his fight camp taking place at the “BAD COMPANY” gym — home to a cadre of elite fighters and veteran coaches.

“The gym’s name speaks for itself,” Krasnov says.

With both fighters bringing in heavy momentum and serious training backgrounds, the Skrebelis vs. Krasnov clash under “B0 Mixed Fight” rules is shaping up to be an interesting addition to a stacked card.
